SoloLearn, or something better? Hello friends. I work in the tech industry already as a sys admin of sorts. I am trying to learn Python as an entryway into branching into the coding/software industry. I am currently using SoloLearn to take a self paced introduction to Python course and it seems to be going well.

SoloLearn is kind of like a toy, or a bait into more serious learning. As an individual resource it is my feeling that it doesn't do a good job beyond language syntax for any of the languages it supports. Part of that is just the nature of being a phone application, though.

Learning apps like Sololearn - any good? I did some of Sololearn's courses, and CodeAcademy's. Seems like stuff you'd find online, but handy to have on the go. I tried SoloLearn and Mimo and Mimo just felt so restrictive. I ended up just switching to SoloLearn on the PC because it has no timed restrictions. The fourth best way to learn programming is through high end online courses. The lack of interactivity is an issue, but at least someone is actually teaching you. Interactive coding lessons come in at 5th. Whether Sololearn, Free Code Camp or Codeacademy. Random content on youtube or medium or whatever targeted at beginners is the worst way to ...
